The whole sub culture of Goth dates all the way back to the 1970's. This subculture is very well and alive in today's society throughout England and the United States alike. So what make a person Goth? Well, that Is a little hard to say since the Goth group is very eclectic by nature and members are all very individual and unique on their own.
